Moving On In

Hello lovelies! It is so crazy to finally get to say this but this is my first post from my new apartment! I've finally moved in! Here are some snaps of my new home away from home:

The most important space of my room: the wardrobe area. I still can't believe how much that little wardrobe unit can actually hold. No worries though, I'll for sure have no problem filling that up!

So their you have it! A quick look at where I'll be blogging from this year. I'm so excited to see how this blog and my style progresses now that I'm out of the suburbs and in the city. This is exciting times!

New In: Firsts For Fall

These two new additions to my wardrobe are both from Akira and my first purchases for Fall, and the best part is they were both on sale! The fur was only $10 and the bag just a little more at $15. I was trying my hardest not to spend any money before I head to school in a few days but with prices like that it would just be stupid to let these two go!

Nicholas Kirkwood Pre-Spring

Here is a look at just some of the gorgeous shoes from Nicholas Kirkwood's Pre-Spring collection, but even with the 20 featured here, it doesn't even make a dent in the collection of 106 pieces of footwear! You have no clue how long it took me to decide on just which stilettos, loafers, sandals, pumps, flatforms, etc. to choose. This collection has everything in all sorts of color combos and prints. Who would think you could have teal giraffe print, elegant bows, and candy-colored swirls all in one collection?!

Between Seasons & Firmoo Shades

The weather has been a bit on the Autumn side the past few days, getting me even more excited for the change in seasons. However, the August sun was definitely back out today, so to hold my Fall cravings over a bit I brought out one of my favorite knits from a year or two ago and just made pretend that their was a breeze sufficient enough to call for sweater weather (their wasn't)...

Prints on Prints on Prints

Please excuse the short absence - again. I've spent the last few days getting myself prepared for school to begin in a matter of weeks, which really just means figuring out those last few items that I need to pick up still and how I'm going to decorate my room. I  went to visit the building I'll be living in for the first time yesterday and seeing it makes me realize that I'm actually leaving my little suburban bubble for the city (I'm transferring to DePaul)! To make things feel even more official, tomorrow I'm going to take on the task of organizing and starting the early stages of packing. Crazy stuff.

The one thing I'm dreading is packing up all my clothes. Not because I have the challenge of figuring out exactly how to bring the ridiculous quantity of pieces I have, but really because I'm just not so pleased with the current state of my wardrobe, and now that I am about to make such a big transition in my life, I feel that I should look the part you know? However, I am on the budget of a poor college student now and for what I'm sure will be quite a while after I'm done with school, so the closet overhaul will just have to wait. Until then, I'll just have to get my clothing kicks with a little online shopping, and these printed pieces from Pixie Market are really hitting the spot.

Fall Is Coming

Whether you're ready or not, the fall editorials are here and soon enough we'll all be back to our layering and beloved outerwear. Personally, I don't mind at all as my wardrobe is about 1000% better in the upcoming colder months than it is in the summer. I can't wait to break out my scarves and boots - I've missed them terribly! However, with this weather it will probably be quite some time before I can wear my old favorites or take sartorial inspiration from editorials like this one from L'Officiel Paris featuring Ieva Laguna. 

Hmm...if only fashion magazines could dictate the weather!

I love the Olympics. Absolutely love them, to the point where it is interfering with my life and my ability to be productive. So, in an effort to try to tear myself away from watching the Olympic coverage 24/7 I decided to blog...and ended up making an outfit inspired by the Olympics. Go figure.

New In: Glasses USA frames

Hi lovelies! It has been a bit of a blogging absence due to a crazy workload brought on by my summer classes, but now I am happy to say those are finished and I can devote this last month of summer to things that don't involve tests, research, or a properly written thesis, meaning that I have time to go back to a regular blogging schedule!
