The Forgotten Few

Yesterday I finished all of the Christmas shopping I had to do, and with all my gifts picked out I was feeling pretty accomplished....until I did a little online shopping and remembered just how much I need a red dalmatian bag! Okay no I don't need that, but I am that type that tends to second guess my choices because you just never know when you may need a cobalt blue satin button down or a printed, Egyptian-esque draped cardigan, right? Right!

The Holiday Season

Well its official...I'm on winter break! Finals are done, first semester is over, and it feels good! Now I can immerse myself in all things Christmas, starting with this super fun holiday themed editorial with one of my favs (Bianca Balti of course) in Vogue Paris.

December is here and that means the countdown to holiday parties has begun! With so many fun options for party dresses it can be hard to narrow down the best ones but I have managed to compile a small list of my favorite picks for this holiday season below:

Black Friday Buys

Below are all the things I picked up on Black Friday (with the exception of a leopard print iPhone case). I never took part in the crazy shopping mania any other year because I always thought that it would be too intense, and pushing my way through crowds and waiting in line is just not my thing, but this year I figured I'd give it a shot, because really, what else did I have going on at 12-5 a.m. that would be more important than Express' 40% off sale?

Minus the disaster that was Carson's home/bedding department I was pleasantly surprised at how organized everything was but my god were those lines killer! I am not a patient person to begin with so it was a little rough to say the least. The only place I had to skip out on was Victoria's Secret. Spazzy 14 year olds knocking over mannequins and throwing underwear all over the place? I'll take a pass on that one.

Week In Review

Good Week:
The End Is Near - It was a busy week school-wise but throughout it I finished a final presentation for Human Geography, exams in Sociology and Math, and my last assignments for Journalism. Now, all I have to do is wait for December 8th to come and my first semester of college is over!
Pretty, Pretty - I've watched the Dior cruise 2012 film (above) over and over for that little bit of escapism we all need every now and then. It as especially perfect for the especially dreary weather we've been having.
Most Wonderful Time of the Year - Well, it isn't here yet, but realizing how close I am to being on break makes me so excited for Christmas. It is by far my favorite holiday and I can promise you that I will be spending the rest of my weekend trying to figure out what is making it onto my wishlist!
New Purchases - New sweaters, scarves, and jeans means I'll be that much more prepared for once winter comes in full force. Oh, and my nails will be too with the gold and glittery copper polishes I bought.
Little Things - Drinking an insane amount of hot chocolate, watching Misfits and American Horror Story, seeing Christmas decorations already up in public places, and Blockbuster free trials just make me happy.

Bad Week:
Vampires Suck - I had to sit through Breaking Dawn last night. I fell asleep. I won't judge if you're a fan, but it just isn't my thing. Oh well, I got some good friend points for that one.
New Purchases - Not really bad because it was worth it, I'm just totally broke now

.....And I think that is all I've got! Its a pretty good week when the bad isn't even bad : )
